When Saba Marcos was a child in Ethiopia, polio forced her to crawl on the floor for years. Today, she’s turning that pain into a mission: through Agape Mobility Ethiopia, Saba helps provide custom-fitted wheelchairs to Ethiopians who would otherwise crawl on hands and knees.

Recently Ella Hudspeath, an Agape Mobility volunteer and Huntington University senior, sat down with Saba to trace her life journey—from immigrating to Fort Wayne at 14 to leading distributions across Ethiopia and challenging the stigma that can label disability as a curse.

Want to hear the story in Saba’s own voice?  Visit Ella Hudspeath’s website to listen to the entire conversation, then consider volunteering with Agape Mobility Ethiopia. One chair can change a life.
